there's a blog party over at flea market style...i'm so eager to see what others are sharing today! i think that this old scale is remarkably beautiful...i acquired it just a couple of weeks ago from an antique mall at a very reasonable price:)
thrift store find...love the shape and color...and just everything, i guess
I bought an old scale too and LOVE IT! Maybe your scale and my scale could be friends? I also have lots of those beautiful dried hydrangeas as my mom grows them. I adore their textures and myriad of pale whites. Great post!

very nice finds! i've never seen a clock quite like that one...i LOVE it! those dried hydrangeas are so pretty..i've been yearning for some to put in a tarnished silver pitcher i found at the thrift store.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, love the scale and that watkins bottle!
ReplyDeleteThe scale is wonderful! I have some hydrangeas drying in my living room. I never get tired of their beauty.
ReplyDeleteI love to see what others find when they are treasure hunting and it is amazing how many times I think...Oh I would have bought that too. I said that about all your buys today.

I've seen so many scales on the trash to treasure party! I had no idea how popular they are. Nice! I have an old baby scale that I purchased at a yard sale for weighing packages. Maybe I ought to display it!

Your Marysboys drew me over to check you out! I see that you are a hydrangea lover also. I love them at every stage! I also adore your clock. It is a collection that I just started. Which means that you can still find them at garage sales without lugging out your wallet!
ReplyDeletethanks for the peak

I too have been liking the old scales this past Summer! I scored one very similar to your beauty and I love it!!
ReplyDelete:) T
I like your grouping of items and my favorite dried flower are hydrangeas. My MIL often lets me cut a bunch from her tree to bring home to dry at the end of the summer.
ReplyDeleteWow love your vintage scale. I've seen more of them lately. It's been fun to visit new bloggers who have the same love of treasure hunting as I do.

Love the scale and I too find beauty in dried hydrangea! My husband just shakes his head :)
ReplyDeleteI've found your blog via kathleen's faded charm. nice to meet you and your pretty blog.
ReplyDeleteLove that old scale so much. Was never able to find one at our flemarkets but guess that not in every country the same items used to be in fashion in th past. BTW I come from Italy!
Hope to be able to meet you over at my my blog which you'll find at http://ritashabbychicrose.blogspot.com/
Blessings

Oh dear, it looks like the frost hit your hydrangea. It hasn't happened here yet but soon and I dread it. I plan to clean up my back deck this afternoon of the bedraggled summer plants but I keep finding all these cool blogs to visit. :) Lynn @ thevintagenest.
ReplyDeleteI have a few scales...but I passed up a really tarnished and chippy one and now I have regrets :(
ReplyDeleteI like the way the items blend together....and off subject~your house looks great for Halloween.
The frame with old sheet music is great :)
What a great scale!
